Who needs more than a 486?

This reader mail that I found in a 1994 issue of PC Computing that I had lying around speaks volumes.  I guess even in those days some folks were already exhausted with keeping up with the latest and greatest technologies, but was it so hard to see back then that this would become the norm and that the PC industry was going to continue to evolve in massive ways?  Hitting an impenetrable wall before Y2K when the industry was only 20 to 25 years old would have been pretty sad, methinks.

Bought used at Guitar Center? You bet!

There's a lot of hatred for Guitar Center floating around out there, and I suppose some of it may be deserved and some of it not.  But I personally haven't had any bad experiences there.

Here's my latest purchase from them, a used Roland GAIA SH-01 in great condition.  A $600 keyboard for $350!  Hard to beat.  I love it.

Yo Quiero Taco Bell!

Could you ever get mad at this face?
